Sabang int`l seaport to operate in 2012

Aceh province`s Sabang international seaport which is now under construction is scheduled to commence operations in 2012, the port`s administrator said. "The project is to support the economic growth of the Sabang Free Port and Trade Area," Sabang Port Administrator Teuku Saiful Ahmad said here on Friday.

Rio Tinto scraps deal with Chinese firm Chinalco

Anglo-Australian miner Rio Tinto PLC has ended its $19.5 billion deal with Chinese firm Chinalco. A statement from Rio Tinto on Friday said the Chinalco deal has been "terminated."
